In a career that has successfully spanned over fifty years, Italian singer-songwriter AL BANO is returning to Australia in February 2018 promising a mix of his greatest hits, the classics complimented by his magic and charisma that Australian fans will love. Since 1967 Al Bano has been one of Italy’s most popular singers with his first single "In the Sun" selling 1.3 million copies, the same year he took part in The Rolling Stones Italian tour and wrote and recorded successful hits “ Io Di notte” “ Nel Sole” “Acqua di Mare” and “ Mezzanotte D’Amore” AL BANO then became a hit in France , Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Spain and Latin America. His concerts all over the world from Japan to Russia from the USA to Latin America have been attended by millions of fans, His success all over the world have been confirmed by his 26 gold and 8 platinum records. In 1980 he won the “Kawsakami Award” in Tokyo and two years later in Germany he was assigned “The Golden Europe” which is awarded to the artist who has sold the largest number of records. In 1982 he achieved an absolute record in Italy by having four song at the same time in the charts. In his list of achievements, he couldn’t miss the success at the San Remo Festival in In 1984, where he won the first prize together with Romina Power, daughter of the late American actor Tyrone Power with the Song “Ci Sara”. His collaboration during the seventies and eighties with Romina Power earned the duo worldwide recognition with some of the most memorable songs ever written, including "Ci Sara" and "Felicita".

The 90's saw AL BANO opening a new phase where he recorded “ Concerto Classico” and : Carrisi Canta Caruso” both tributes the great tenors, this gave Albano’s fans the opportunity the hear this great voice singing the great aria’s with whole generation of classical music fans experiencing the "Al Bano Magic".

In 2013, Al Bano and Romina Power reunited, on a professional basis for a concert performance in Moscow. They later performed as guests at the Sanremo Festival 2015. They also performed together in Atlantic City, USA, in April 2015, and following that, in Los Angeles. On 30 May 2015, Al Bano produced a show at the Arena di Verona, before a sold-out audience of 11,000, in which he starred with Romina Power. The show, featuring Tyrone Power Jr. and other special guests was transmitted by the Italian national TV network RAI, and was watched in over eight countries by 51,000,000 viewers around the globe, a 37 ratings share.

AL BANO’s Australian Concerts in February 2018 promises to be sell out events that will take the audience on a musical journey with his Pop hits as well as the Classics, proudly presented by Abstract Entertainment.
