Their stunning authenticity coupled with their musical credibility has seen them perform at some of the world's best-known venues such as Wembley Stadium, the Royal Albert Hall, Knebworth, Glastonbury Festival and the Budokan Stadium in Tokyo, where The Beatles originally played. They also performed on "The Graham Norton Show" in London. The legendary English Record Producer/Arranger/Composer Sir George Martin, sometimes referred to as "the fifth Beatle", said: "I enjoyed their act enormously".

Formed for the West End cast of the long-running Broadway musical "Beatlemania", THE BOOTLEG BEATLES are truly the world's No.1 tribute band have shared the Concert with the likes of Rod Stewart, Elton John, David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Seal, Simple Minds, Bon Jovi and they performed at Queen Elizabeth II's Golden Jubilee celebration at Buckingham Palace. THE BOOTLEG BEATLES are truly one of Britain's most popular bands, with fans of all ages across the globe greeting their note-perfect performance with scenese of Beatle-like hysteria. THE BOOTLEG BEATLES have been performing note-perfect renditions of the Fab Four’s outstanding repertoire since 1980. But who are the guys under the wigs?

TYSON KELLY plays JOHN LENNON

Born in Los Angeles, Tyson comes from a musical family (his father wrote ‘Eternal Flame’ and ‘Like a Virgin’). He is a self-taught classical pianist, guitarist and and avid songwriter. Tyson’s love of the Beatles began when he was seven years old, travelling on a family holiday with only one cassette in the car - the ‘Help!’ album. ‘We played it on repeat over and over. It’s still my favourite Beatles album.’ In his early teens, Tyson’s session singer father taught him the low ‘John’ harmony on ‘If I Fell’. ‘That was it – I was away!’

Graduating from the New York Film Academy Tyson found himself back in LA and when not gigging with his own band he would sing John Lennon vocals at the local Karaoke, unknowingly honing his Beatle mimicking skills for the future. ‘I’d actually started doing John in High School, but in 2009 I got a vocal audition for a remake of Yellow Submarine. I had this Rolling Stone interview of John and I just worked on Lennon’s voice and accent religiously for days.’ The hard work has paid off - there’s not a hint of Tyson’s native accent on stage with the Bootlegs.

It was an audition for the play Just Imagine, that proved Tyson’s lucky break. ‘I didn’t get part; I was a bit young at the time – but I did get an agent!’ From there Tyson hasn’t looked back. He has played with some of the finest Beatles acts and shows in the world including Let It Be and Sessions. Already a firm favourite with Bootleg fans around the world, he has relocated to the UK and is enjoying London life. Of his ‘tribute’ career he says, ‘If you’re having fun doing it, and if people agree that they’re having fun – that’s all you can do!’

Tyson is still regularly writing his own music, and released his debut solo EP No Signal at the beginning of 2019.

STEVE WHITE plays PAUL McCARTNEY

Steve’s interest in music was first sparked by his father’s record collection, and ranges from 60’s classics, through country to rock and, of course, everything Beatles. Steve discovered his talent relatively late, first picking up a guitar aged 21.

He served his ‘apprenticeship’ playing in bands in clubs and pubs before joining a successful 60s tribute band, and supported many of the great names of that era: The Searchers, The Animals, The Troggs, Herman’s Hermits, Marmalade, The Merseybeats, to name a few.

Steve first played the role of Paul McCartney in a Beatle tribute band in 2006. He is naturally right-handed, but has mastered the left-handed bass specifically for the role.

A familiar face around Liverpool, Steve has performed at the legendary Cavern Club on many occasions, as well as touring Europe extensively and venturing even further afield when playing on cruise liners. Appropriately, his favourite Beatles track is ‘Ticket to Ride’

STEPHEN HILL plays GEORGE HARRISON

Stephen Hill is the ‘new’ George Harrison in the Bootleg Beatles taking over from founder member Andre Barreau in July 2014.

‘I’ve been a Bootleg Beatle fan since I was ten years old, when my dad took me to see the band in my home town of Wolverhampton, so to actually become a full time member is a real thrill for me. I’ve been playing George in Beatles covers bands for over ten years so I’ve lived and breathed him. I grew up listening to the Beatles and started playing lead guitar at the age of eleven. ‘

Stephen’s virtuoso guitar playing has led to him playing with many of his 1960s heroes, including Gerry & the Pacemakers, the Swinging Blue Jeans and the Searchers. ‘When I was 21-22, my band was asked to support Gerry Marsden on tour, and we ended up playing together for about six years. It was great hearing about all my sixties heroes from someone who was there. I remember walking into a room and Gerry saying, “He looks just like George, doesn’t he?”

Stephen spent two years in the West End Show ‘Let It Be’ before joining the Bootleg Beatles.

GORDON ELSMORE plays RINGO STARR

Gordon has been playing in Beatles bands for nearly 20 years. That's most of the time that he's been playing the drums and its taken him all over the world. His first Beatles band was the Paperback Beatles in 1997 and more recently was part of the original cast of Let it Be. "I never get bored of playing the Beatles songs. The songs are amazing, of course, but the challenge is to discover exactly how they made that incredible sound. Its not as easy as you think and massively rewarding when you discover something you've never heard before." Despite being in three signed bands and even appearing on Top of the Pops a few times it was always Beatles bands that kept Gordon busy! "I've played with all the other Bootlegs in different bands at different times and its great to see us all in one place!"
